Matt was born and raised in Hillsboro,Wisconsin and graduated from
Hillsboro High School in 1999. While attending high school during
1997, he was awarded "Wisconsin Entrepreneur of the Year" by the
F.F.A Chapter for his effort of adding to the company business,
which included a water analysis service. In 1998, Matt was awarded "National Entrepreneur of the Year" by the national chapter of the F.F.A.
In December of 2003, Matt graduated from Viterbo University with an BA in Business Management, Administration and Marketing. In the Spring of 2010 he graduated with an MBA in strategic management (3.78 GPA) from the University of
Wisconsin, Madison.
Matt was able to drill his first well before the age of 16. He also, like his father, was helped by his grandfather. Matt's first well drilling job was for Dave Diny, a long time friend of the family, now passed.
In 2012, Matt purchased Kouba Well Drilling from his parents, Daniel and Maureen Kouba. In April of 2018, Matthew purchased Corpian Well Drilling from Boscobel, Wisconsin and further expanded the
company. He has successfully maintained three drilling rigs, expanding operations to four locations, which now includes fifteen Wisconsin Counties for yet another generation.
